A growing specialist insurance and reinsurance business is looking to appoint a Ceded Reinsurance Analyst to join its London-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ceded reinsurance or the Lloyd’s/London Market who is looking to develop their career within a specialist, analytical and commercially focused reinsurance function.

The RoleWorking closely with the Ceded Reinsurance Purchasing Manager, you will support the placement and renewal of reinsurance programmes, providing analysis and coordination across a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will play an important role in assessing reinsurance options and understanding their impact on risk, capital, profitability and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the placement and renewal of ceded reinsurance programmes.
  • Work closely with the Ceded Reinsurance Purchasing Manager throughout the renewal cycle.
  • Coordinate activities, actions and deadlines across underwriting, actuarial, finance and exposure management teams.
  • Build strong relationships with brokers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse reinsurance options to support purchasing and negotiation decisions.
  • Assist with renewal submissions and programme analysis.
  • Produce analysis covering reinsurance performance, exposures and programme effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation and administration of reinsurance contracts and endorsements.
  • Assist with internal and external reinsurance reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen reinsurance operations.
About YouWe are keen to speak with candidates who have:
  • Experience within ceded reinsurance or a closely related reinsurance function.
  • Ideally, experience within the Lloyd’s/London Market.
  • A good understanding of reinsurance structures and their application to risk management.
  • Knowledge of reinsurance contracts, accounts and wording.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • The ability to analyse and clearly present data.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with brokers, reinsurers and internal teams.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within ceded reinsurance.
